Chris Tomlin's new album "Hello Love" was released September 2, 2008, with the first single from the album being "Jesus Messiah". Is it musically creative, pushing new artistic boundaries? Nope, not a bit. Does it contain an intelligent, lyrical and thought provoking message? Again, no, not a sign of deep thinking, with plenty of overused Christian cliches. It is just another very repetitive but extremely catchy and easily singable worship song from one of the best worship leaders in the business. There are plenty of other very artistic and creative Christian songwriters. Critics should leave Chris alone and let him write the praise and worship songs he is best at writing for worship services and the Christian community that loves his music.
